Day two. We are playing random games. This is a new Steam mechanic — for the first two days of the festival you can play random games, after which the selection becomes personalized and Steam starts suggesting games similar to the ones you play. It is meant to help sell us more games and wishlists.

A survivor — there are usually plenty of them (it’s a cool genre, after all, there can’t be too few of these games). This one is not VS-like, but more Brotato-like.
The gist of the game — you have a character that you can level up with different kinds of skills and stats. Hordes of enemies come at you. You have to merrily run your character away from enemies (sometimes toward them, and very occasionally you can build a stand-still build), collecting boosters on the map. Between runs there’s a shop where you can buy weapons and skills — just like in Brotato.

The game looks mediocre, a lot is unfinished and done in a gray prototype visual style )
The game has manual activation of five skills, which is fairly hard for the genre (with no option to enable auto-activation — but that’s a quick fix), and there’s also no way to rebind keys yet, so it doesn’t play very comfortably on a keyboard (honestly, downright uncomfortable).

At first the game seems fun, but it quickly loses that ground — the hitboxes are set up incorrectly, it’s hard to predict at what distance enemies will hit you, which makes it hard to predict your movement route and generally hard to play the core loop — it immediately stops being much fun, because the core is wrong.

There are already a lot of mechanics, and a lot of stats too. The dynamics are good — this is definitely more of a survivor than not. It feels like they came to the fest too early.
