Day five. We are looking for something unusual — something we want to install and try.
In short, it’s delightful ) They combined Into the Breach with Cult of the Lamb, and why not. And.. they added a couple (just a couple) of USPs. Usually games don’t have USPs, but here there are A COUPLE )
The tactical part is fairly straightforward, fans will see a lot that’s familiar and get it. We decide which of our characters moves when, which skill to use, and what chain of sequential actions and interactions between different characters to pull off. Enemies can attack us, or they can attack — buildings, like in Into the Breach resources that you actually really need for building your base.
USP 1 — Characters don’t die — they go into a rage, and now they attack everyone in sight, they can attack enemies, they can attack your characters. If all characters go into a rage, they kill everyone and everything (the resources you so desperately need). USP 2 — An excellent pairing of narrative and mechanics — everything is so natural and clear (about the orcs) that you can’t help but marvel! A very bold move — investing in such a setting (serious tactics on one hand, humor piled on humor on the other).
A very atmospheric and humorous tactical game with base building. If you don’t have to play with a completely straight face, this tactical game is definitely worth trying.
High production quality. They probably worked on it for a long time. Lots of cool animations, lots of well-polished mechanics, effects — yeah, lots of cool stuff. It’s a pleasure to play a Game like this, a pleasure to know there are awesome devs out there making games like this!
A funny idea, a narrative about orcs who go into a rage very quickly. A very good pairing of narrative and mechanics (that’s how it should be in good Games).
